This Belgian Quadruple presents a profound sensory journey, shaped by two years of maturation in American and French red wine barrels. At a staggering 16.5% ABV, it radiates a rich profile of dark caramel and bready-toasty malts, seamlessly integrated with intense notes of licorice. The barrel influence is masterful, contributing bright acidity from cranberries and blackberries that cut through the deep, raisin-like Belgian esters. Subtle oak-derived spice and vanilla harmonize with the significant warmth of the spirit, while lingering wine tannins provide a sophisticated structure. This Belgian Dark Strong Ale is a robust, velvet-textured masterpiece of fermentation and wood-aging complexity.

Appearance. Deep coppery-brown with ruby highlights. Features a modest, tan-colored head with fair retention, though limited by the high alcohol content. Clarity is generally clear, with a slight, oily viscosity visible on the glass.

Aroma. Intense and multi-layered. Deep malt richness with bready-toasty and dark caramel notes. Prominent dark fruit esters of plums and raisins are elevated by red wine barrel cues of cranberries and blackberries.
