This Double New England IPA is a vibrant showcase of the Citra hop variety, utilizing both pellets and Hyperboost to achieve an intense sensory profile. The pour reveals a lush, tropical bouquet dominated by ripe mango and succulent pineapple, supported by secondary notes of citrus zest. Despite its 8% strength, the beer maintains high drinkability with a soft, pillowy mouthfeel and a restrained malt backbone that stays out of the way of the hop saturation. A clean fermentation profile ensures the hops remain the focal point from the first aromatic sniff to the smooth, fruit-lingering finish.

Appearance. Pale gold to light orange (6-8 SRM). Characteristically opaque with a dense, creamy white head that shows excellent persistence and leaves thick lacing on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity hop-forward aroma featuring massive waves of tropical fruit. Distinct Citra characteristics of crushed mango, fresh pineapple, and sweet tangerine dominate. Low, crackery malt support with a clean fermentation profile and no detectable solvent alcohol.

Taste. The palate follows the nose with a burst of tropical flavors; pineapple and mango are prominent. Malt flavor is low, providing a neutral, bready base. Bitterness is moderate to firm but lacks any harshness or astringency. The finish is medium-dry with a long, resinous, and fruity aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a smooth, velvety texture. Carbonation is moderate. A light, integrated alcohol warmth is present but well-hidden behind the hop density.

Sensory Profile.
