Aim For the Netses! is a bold American IPA that delivers a powerful sensory impact reminiscent of the classic West Coast style. An aggressive hop profile featuring Citra, Chinook, Ekuanot, Motueka, and Centennial drives the experience with an intense aromatic charge of resinous pine and bright grapefruit. The palate is dominated by a dank, forest-like bitterness and citrus zest, supported by a clean, lean malt backbone that ensures a crisp, dry finish. At 7.9% ABV, it carries a sophisticated warmth that integrates seamlessly with its hop-forward aggression. This is a high-velocity expression of Northwest hops, offering a lingering, resinous trail that defines the style's assertive nature.
Appearance. Deep gold color (8 SRM) with brilliant clarity. Pours with a thick, frothy white head showing excellent persistence and leaving substantial lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma with prominent dank resin, pine needles, and pungent grapefruit zest. Secondary layers of tropical lime and lemon peel emerge from the Ekuanot and Motueka hops. Malt character is low, appearing only as a clean, neutral graininess.
Taste. The initial impression is one of sharp, firm bitterness followed by heavy resinous pine and pithy grapefruit flavors. The hop profile is complex, blending the classic citrus of Centennial and Citra with a modern tropical edge. A light toasted malt character provides minimal support, finishing bone-dry with a long-lasting, clean, and aggressive bitterness.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, slightly oily texture from high hop concentration. Carbonation is medium-high, providing a crisp bite. A light, pleasant alcohol warmth is present but well-integrated, without any harsh astringency.
