NIB Brewing Topographic Oceans is a highly refreshing and aromatic American IPA designed for ultimate drinkability. It features a bright, modern hop profile driven by Citra, Centennial, and Huell Melon. The Citra hops burst with vibrant tropical notes of mango and bright citrus, while Centennial introduces a classic floral and pine-like crispness. Huell Melon lends a delicate, distinctive note of ripe honeydew melon and soft strawberry. Together, they float over a light, silky malt body that keeps the beer incredibly smooth and refreshing. It delivers a clean, delicate bitterness that leaves the palate clean and eager for the next sip.
Appearance. Medium gold with brilliant clarity. Pours with a fluffy, persistent white head that leaves delicate, intricate lacing along the glass.
Aroma. High intensity aroma dominated by expressive hop-derived notes of sweet honeydew melon, ripe mango, fresh citrus, and soft floral undertones. Very low, clean, sweet-grainy malt background with a neutral fermentation profile.
Taste. Crisp and hop-forward. Initial impressions of bright orange zest, sweet melon, and tropical pineapple. Low, neutral grainy malt flavor provides light support. Moderate-high hop bitterness is clean and well-balanced. Finishes very dry and clean, with a lingering, pleasant citrus and melon aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a remarkably smooth, silky texture. High carbonation accentuates the refreshing quality. No alcohol warmth, astringency, or harsh bitterness.
