Imperial Stout 10 º
This Imperial Stout offers a decadent sensory journey, dominated by a pitch-black pour and a robust profile of premium adjuncts. Brazilian Single O Coffee leads with nutty, toffee-like nuances, seamlessly merging with the earthy, bittersweet depth of hand-toasted organic cacao. Whole vanilla pods infuse a velvety aromatic sweetness and a rounded texture that tames the intensity of the dark roasted malts. Despite its significant strength, the palate remains harmonious, balancing charred grain bitterness with a creamy, dessert-like indulgence. It is a bold, complex exploration of dark chocolate and espresso, finishing with a warming, lingering richness.
Appearance. Opaque, jet black (40+ SRM) with a thick, persistent, mocha-colored head that leaves dense lacing. Clarity is completely obscured by the beer's depth.
Aroma. High intensity. Dominated by fresh-roasted coffee beans and dark chocolate cacao nibs. Secondary notes of rich vanilla, toffee, and charred malt provide depth. Low hop aroma and low esters, allowing the specialty ingredients to lead.
Taste. Initial impression is a rich, bittersweet explosion of espresso and dark chocolate. Deeply roasted malt flavors feature coffee, cocoa, and burnt toast. The cacao provides a dry, earthy bite, while the vanilla pods offer a perceived sweetness that balances the alcohol. Bitterness is firm but integrated; the finish is long and warming with lingering toffee.
Mouthfeel. Full-bodied and viscous with a creamy, silk-like texture enhanced by the vanilla. Carbonation is moderate-low. A noticeable, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present. Very low astringency.
