This collaboration American Lager celebrates a traditional Scottish profile, offering a remarkably crisp and refreshing experience. The addition of raw landrace wheat from Fife introduces a subtle, rustic graininess and a soft texture that elevates the standard profile. Herkules hops provide a distinct, aromatic floral and spicy lift, cutting through the neutral malt base. It pours with brilliant clarity, leading into a palate defined by its clean fermentation and high attenuation. The finish is snappy and dry, leaving a faint, pleasant herbal trail. It is a sophisticated take on a classic, balancing local heritage with technical precision.
Appearance. 2–4 SRM. Very pale straw to light yellow. Brilliant clarity. White, frothy head with moderate persistence and light lacing.
Aroma. Moderate-low intensity. Clean, grainy-sweet malt aroma enhanced by the rustic character of raw landrace wheat. Low hop aroma, featuring floral and spicy notes from Herkules hops. Very clean fermentation profile without esters or diacetyl.
Taste. Relatively neutral palate with a crisp, dry finish. Low grainy malt flavor is present, balanced by a low bitterness. Hop flavor is moderately-low, presenting floral and herbal qualities from the Herkules hops. High attenuation leads to a very clean, snappy aftertaste with no harshness.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a slight creaminess from the raw wheat. High carbonation provides a crisp carbonic bite on the tongue. No perceptible alcohol warmth.
