This Extra-Hopped Pilsner from Newbarns Brewery presents a modern, sessionable take on the German Pils. At 4.2% ABV, it emphasizes a high intensity of traditional German hops, delivering vibrant floral, spicy, and herbal notes. The sensory experience is defined by a lean backbone of Pilsner malt, offering subtle doughy and crackery sweetness that quickly gives way to a firm, clean bitterness. Brilliantly clear with a snappy finish, it showcases a focused lager fermentation that allows the botanical complexity of the hops to shine against a crisp, minerally dry background. Appearance. Brilliant straw to pale yellow (2–3 SRM). Topped by a dense, creamy, long-lasting white head that leaves delicate lacing on the glass.

Aroma. Moderate to high intensity of noble German hops, featuring distinct floral, spicy, and light herbal notes. Low grainy-sweet malt character, reminiscent of fresh white bread or dough, with a very clean fermentation profile.
