This decadent Imperial Stout pours like midnight, offering a sensory journey akin to a spooky campfire gathering. The high 13.9% ABV is masterfully integrated with rich layers of French Broad cocoa nibs and the sharp, roasted precision of Little River Roaster's espresso beans. Aging in 6&20 distillery Old Money whiskey barrels imparts deep notes of charred oak, spirituous vanilla, and a hint of woodsmoke, which perfectly balance the whimsical, gooey sweetness of toasted marshmallows. The heavy malt base creates a complex, warming profile that lingers with bittersweet chocolate and espresso-driven intensity, providing a harmonious but intense experience.

Appearance. Opaque jet black (SRM 40+). Pours with a thick, deep tan to dark brown head with low to moderate retention; high viscosity is evidenced by prominent legs on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity with a rich blend of dark roasted espresso beans and bittersweet cocoa. Strong whiskey and charred oak character from the barrel aging is present, alongside a distinct vanilla-like toasted marshmallow sweetness. Very low hop aroma; light dark fruit esters of plum and prune.

Taste. Intense and complex, featuring initial flavors of dark chocolate and espresso beans. Mid-palate brings forward whiskey-soaked oak, light smoke, and a sugary marshmallow character. Bitterness is moderate to firm but balanced by the heavy malt sweetness and barrel tannins. The finish is long and warming with a bittersweet chocolate aftertaste.
