New Bristol Brewery Pard

Pard is a refined Ordinary Bitter that presents a rich chestnut hue, balancing traditional British character with approachable sessionability. The sensory experience is led by an inviting caramel malt sweetness that provides a sturdy backbone for subtle, integrated notes of spicy hops and zesty orange esters. A bready, biscuity complexity emerges on the mid-palate, characteristic of high-quality English malts. While the bitterness is firm and decidedly British in its earthy execution, it remains harmonious against the toffee-like depth. The finish is notably clean and dry, inviting another sip of this classic, malt-forward yet refreshing amber ale.
Appearance. Light copper to chestnut brown with brilliant clarity. Features a low, creamy, off-white head with moderate retention and light lacing.
Aroma. Moderate intensity featuring a clear caramel and toffee malt profile. Complemented by a light bready and biscuity character with subtle fruity esters reminiscent of orange peel. Low hop aroma with an earthy and slightly spicy quality.
Taste. Initial impression of caramel sweetness followed by a firm, medium-high bitterness. Malt flavors are bready and lightly toasty. Hop flavor is moderate with earthy, spicy, and faint citrus orange notes. Fermentation is clean with low fruity esters. Finishes dry and decidedly bitter with a lingering toasty aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with moderate carbonation. Smooth texture with a very subtle hint of alcohol warmth. Astringency is absent.
