This decadent Imperial Stout presents a multi-layered sensory experience inspired by rocky road ice cream. The aroma is immediately striking, featuring high-intensity notes of toasted walnuts and pecans that meld with the sugary, pillowy scent of marshmallows and rich vanilla. On the palate, the beer is deeply indulgent, offering a symphony of gooey caramel and bittersweet dark chocolate derived from heavily roasted malts. The addition of lactose creates a creamy, milk-like sweetness that coats the tongue, while the significant alcohol presence provides a smooth, integration-enhancing warmth. It is a complex, dessert-forward ale that balances its nutty, confectionery elements against a robust, roasty backbone.

Appearance. Opaque, jet black (40+ SRM) with a thick, dense, dark tan head that exhibits moderate retention and visible oily legs upon swirling.

Aroma. Intense and rich; prominent toasted nuttiness from walnuts and pecans layered over dark chocolate and espresso malt characters. Pronounced sweet vanilla and marshmallow accents with a hint of dark fruit esters like prunes.
