ECHO the 9th Edition is a commanding Imperial Baltic Porter that exemplifies the style's deep, luxurious malt complexity. At 10% ABV and a significant 26.0 Blg, it presents a concentrated profile of dark chocolate, molasses, and toasted nuts, underscored by a dense sweetness from the high gravity. The aroma is saturated with vinous dark fruit esters—reminiscent of black cherries, raisins, and prunes—evoking a fine Port-like quality. On the palate, the roast character remains smooth and refined, suggesting cold-brew coffee and licorice without harsh burnt edges. This is a velvet-textured, warming lager that balances its formidable strength with a clean fermentation and a sophisticated, lingering finish.

Appearance. Opaque dark brown with deep reddish-copper highlights at the edges. Features a thick, persistent, creamy tan-colored head with excellent lacing.

Aroma. High intensity of rich maltiness, featuring notes of deep toast, molasses, and dark chocolate. A complex ester profile provides scents of prunes, raisins, and cherries, accompanied by a noticeable but smooth alcohol presence and a hint of licorice.

Taste. Rich and malty-sweet initial impression with flavors of caramel, toffee, and toasted nuts. A smooth, Schwarzbier-like roast character emerges mid-palate, offering coffee and dark chocolate notes without any burnt acridity. Low bitterness provides just enough balance against the deep malt and dark fruit esters. The finish is dryish and smooth with a lingering aftertaste of licorice and vinous fruit.

Mouthfeel. Full-bodied and exceptionally smooth with a mouth-filling creaminess. Moderate carbonation keeps the beer from feeling heavy. Noticeable, deceptive alcohol warmth is well-integrated and pleasant.

A Baltic Porter egy sima, hidegen erjesztett és hidegen ászokolt sör, amelyet lágerélesztővel főznek. Alkoholtartalma miatt tartalmazhat nagyon alacsony vagy alacsony komplex alkoholos ízeket és/vagy láger gyümölcsösséget, például bogyós gyümölcsöket, szőlőt és szilvát (de nem banánt; a meleg hőmérsékletű erjesztésből származó ale-szerű gyümölcsösség nem megfelelő).
