Nepo Brewing - Nepomucen

This Triple New England Double IPA presents an intense sensory profile dominated by the synergy of Idaho 7 and Azacca hops. The nose is a vibrant explosion of overripe mango, crushed pineapple, and bright tangerine, supported by subtle notes of resinous pine. On the palate, the experience is lusciously fruity, delivering layers of tropical stone fruit and citrus zest against a soft, bready malt backdrop. Despite its 8.3% ABV, the alcohol is remarkably well-integrated, providing only a gentle warmth. A smooth, creamy texture carries the bold hop flavors through to a refreshing, juice-like finish with a restrained, soft bitterness.

Appearance. Deep gold to light orange (6-8 SRM). Opaque, milky haze with a dense, persistent white head that leaves significant lacing on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent mango, papaya, and pineapple. Secondary notes of tangerine and a light resinous pine are present. Malt is neutral and bready in the background with a clean, lightly fruity fermentation profile.

Taste. Initial impression is a massive wave of tropical fruit, specifically mango and pineapple from the Azacca and Idaho 7 hops. Malt provides a soft, flour-like support without caramel sweetness. Bitterness is moderate and smooth, avoiding any harshness or hop bite. The finish is medium-dry and juice-like, with a lingering citrus aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a creamy, pillowy texture. Carbonation is moderate. A smooth, restrained alcohol warmth is present, adding to the richness without being solventy.
