Neon Raptor's Capulets is a lush, hazy New England Double IPA that pours with an inviting, dense cream-colored head over an opaque, golden-orange body. The aroma is an intense wave of tropical fruit, showcasing notes of ripe mango, sweet passion fruit, and bright tangerine against a soft, doughy malt backdrop. On the palate, it delivers a juicy flood of stone fruit and citrus flavors, balanced by a restrained, smooth bitterness that keeps the focus entirely on the massive hop character. A pillowy-soft mouthfeel and a gentle, warming finish beautifully mask its strength, making for an incredibly smooth and luscious modern double IPA.
Appearance. Opaque, glowing golden-orange (8 SRM) with a dense, long-lasting, creamy white head that leaves thick lacing.
Aroma. Intense, highly dominant hop aroma bursting with tropical fruit (mango, pineapple, passion fruit) and bright citrus (mandarin orange, grapefruit), supported by a soft, doughy, sweet-wheat malt character and clean fermentation.
Taste. A rich, juicy explosion of tropical mango, sweet peach, and citrus flavors. Bitterness is moderate and remarkably smooth, balancing a soft, bready malt sweetness without any harshness. The finish is medium-dry with a lingering, pleasant fruitiness.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full, velvety, and pillowy on the palate. Moderate carbonation enhances the creamy texture, accompanied by a subtle, clean, warming alcohol presence and zero hop astringency.
