This Fruit and Spice Mead presents a bold sensory experience, balancing lush tropical fruit with assertive chili heat. The aroma is dominated by ripe, fleshy mango and the distinct floral perfume of high-quality honey, punctuated by the sharp, vegetal snap of fresh habanero. On the palate, a viscous, honey-sweet foundation provides a stage for succulent mango flavors before a wave of habanero spice provides a lingering, piquant contrast. At 14% ABV, a smooth, integrated alcohol warmth bolsters the full-bodied mouthfeel, ensuring the intense fruit and heat are supported by a substantial, velvety structure and a clean, vinous finish.

Appearance. Deep golden-orange with brilliant clarity. Still, with no head or lacing, though significant legs and tears form on the glass, indicating high viscosity and alcohol content.

Aroma. High intensity. Pronounced notes of tropical mango nectar and floral, sweet honey. A sharp, spicy habanero capsicum note is prominent but well-integrated, alongside a clean, vinous alcohol presence and no hop-derived character.

Taste. Initial impression is of rich, syrupy honey and ripe mango. Mid-palate introduces a firm habanero heat that tingles the tongue without being overwhelming. The finish is long and warming, with a lingering sweetness of tropical fruit and a persistent peppery glow. Balanced by low acidity and no hop bitterness.

Mouthfeel. Full-bodied and viscous, with a heavy, mouth-coating texture. Carbonation is absent (still). Significant alcohol warmth is present but smooth, complemented by a notable capsaicin-induced tingle on the palate.
