Naparbier’s Snake Bite is a formidable Double IPA that bridges the gap between intense hop saturation and a modern, hazy presentation. Utilizing hand-picked Strata, Amarillo, and Simcoe hops from Crosby Hop Farm, the sensory profile is dominated by layers of pungent passionfruit, bright orange zest, and a grounding resinous pine. At 8.5% ABV, it carries a smooth, integrated warmth that supports a soft, pillowy mouthfeel. The malt presence remains neutral and supportive, allowing the complex interplay of tropical fruit and dank herbal notes to lead from the initial aroma through to a firm, clean bitterness on the finish.

Appearance. Opaque pale gold to light orange-copper with a very hazy, juice-like consistency. Topped by a dense, persistent off-white head that leaves significant lacing as it recedes.

Aroma. Intense and multifaceted hop-forward bouquet. Strata provides deep notes of passionfruit and a subtle dankness, while Amarillo contributes sweet orange and floral citrus. Simcoe adds a sharp evergreen and berry layer. Malt is low and grainy, with a clean, neutral fermentation profile.

Taste. High hop intensity featuring tropical fruit, citrus peel, and resinous pine. Moderate-high bitterness provides a firm structure but lacks harshness. Malt flavor is low, providing a soft bready foundation without significant caramel. The finish is medium-dry with a lingering, pleasant hoppy aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a smooth, almost creamy texture. Carbonation is moderate. A noticeable but smooth alcohol warmth reflects the 8.5% strength without being solventy or astringent.
