Naparbier Pillow Fight is a modern American IPA that masterfully balances a soft, cushioned texture with a vibrant hop profile. The grist, featuring Pilsner malt alongside Trigo (wheat) and Avena (oats), provides a creamy, rounded mouthfeel that softens the blow of its assertive bitterness. A multi-layered hop addition of Hallertau Tradition, Ekuanot, and Simcoe delivers a complex aromatic punch of tropical papaya, zesty lime, and resinous pine. On the palate, the beer is bright and hop-forward, transitioning from juicy citrus to a clean, dry finish. The delicate grainy sweetness of the malts provides a sturdy anchor for the lingering, piney aftertaste.

Appearance. Medium gold (8 SRM) with a slight, persistent haze. Features a medium-sized, white, frothy head with excellent retention and significant lacing on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by tropical fruit (papaya, melon) and citrus (lime zest, grapefruit) from Ekuanot and Simcoe. A subtle floral and herbal spiciness from Hallertau Tradition resides in the background. Low, clean, bready malt notes with a hint of grainy sweetness support the hop presentation.

Taste. Initial impression is a burst of citrus and tropical fruit hops. Medium-high bitterness is firm but clean, never harsh. The malt flavor is low, characterized by a clean, crackery Pilsner base and a soft, bready character from the wheat and oats. Finishes dry to medium-dry with a lingering, resinous, and pithy hop aftertaste. Clean fermentation profile.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a notable smoothness and light creaminess due to the addition of oats. Carbonation is medium-high, providing a crisp bite that cuts through the texture. Very light, smooth alcohol warmth is present but well-integrated.
