This Hazy Double IPA opens with a pungent, resinous invitation reminiscent of a freshly opened bag of hops. The sensory profile is defined by an intense tropical fruit character, where vivid notes of pineapple, mango, and papaya dominate the palate. A supportive malt sweetness provides a soft landing for the hop intensity, while the 8.5% ABV manifests as a well-integrated, gentle warmth. Despite its strength, the bitterness remains soft and approachable, ensuring high drinkability. The overall experience is one of lush fruitiness and balanced complexity, staying true to its modern Double IPA roots with a smooth, clean finish.

Appearance. Deep gold to light orange; hazy to opaque. Features a moderate-sized, persistent off-white head with good lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent tropical fruit characteristics including pineapple, mango, and papaya. A clean, neutral grainy maltiness sits in the background. Fermentation is clean with a very light, smooth alcohol note.

Taste. Initial impression is a wave of tropical fruit flavors, specifically pineapple and mango complemented by papaya. Low to moderate supportive malt sweetness balances the profile. Bitterness is moderate and soft, lacking any harshness. The finish is medium-dry with a lingering fruity aftertaste and a clean, smooth alcohol presence.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, slightly creamy texture. Carbonation is moderate. Noticeable but restrained alcohol warmth provides a pleasant glow without being solventy.

Naparbier – Overkill. La crisis económica de 2008 fue la causante de que cuatro compañeros de trabajo de la fábrica navarra de electrodomésticos Koxka unieran sus destinos. Juan, Josu, Pepe y Txerra se vieron en la calle con un ERE a principios del 2009. Con el dinero de la indemnización caliente en sus bolsillos y un panorama económico por delante no muy halagüeño decidieron saltar al vacío. Así nació Naparbier, asociándose como una cooperativa.

De unos inicios en los que el objetivo era colarse en las barras de la hostelería navarra e intentar hacerse hueco a codazos entre los gigantes industriales, actualmente Naparbier se encuentra en la vanguardia europea de cervezas modernas y lupuladas.

Esta Hazy DIPA de 8.5% es una pequeña obra de arte. Maltosidad equilibrada con un suave y largo amargor final. Alcohol presente pero en segundo plano muy bebible. Y el Aroma te remata; Simcoe, Loral, Citra y Amarillo le dan sabores y aromas a fruta tropical, piña, mango o papaya.
