Naparbier Odín is a modern American Pale Ale that showcases a vibrant hop profile atop a silky grain bill. The interplay of Mandarina Bavaria, Chinook, and Columbus hops delivers a complex layering of bright tangerine citrus, pungent pine resin, and an earthy, herbal spice. The foundation of Pilsner malt, supplemented by oat malt, wheat flakes, and oat flakes, provides a smooth, bready texture that softens the moderate bitterness. This combination results in a highly approachable ale where the zesty citrus notes are supported by a soft, rounded mouthfeel, finishing clean with a lingering touch of hop character.

Appearance. Pale golden to deep yellow in color (5–7 SRM). It presents with a moderately large, creamy white head that exhibits good retention and leaves delicate lacing. Clarity is mostly clear, though the use of oats and wheat may impart a very faint, shimmering haze.

Aroma. Moderate to high hop intensity featuring distinct notes of citrus zest and sweet tangerine from the Mandarina Bavaria, backed by the resinous pine of Chinook and a subtle spicy, dank quality from Columbus. The malt aroma is low but clean, offering a grainy, bready sweetness derived from the Pilsner malt and oats.

Taste. The initial impression is hop-forward, leading with flavors of citrus peel, pine needles, and a hint of black pepper. A supportive but unobtrusive malt backbone follows, providing flavors of fresh bread and raw grain. The bitterness is moderate, providing enough structure to balance the soft maltiness without being harsh. The fermentation is clean, allowing the hop and malt interplay to shine through to a medium-dry, crisp finish.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light to medium body with a notably smooth, almost creamy texture due to the addition of oat malt and wheat flakes. Carbonation is moderate to high, providing a refreshing prickle on the tongue. Alcohol warmth is very light and well-integrated, with no astringency.
