Naparbier Hop Doom is a massive Double IPA that pushes the style’s limits with a relentless 11.5% ABV and an imposing hop profile. The aromatic explosion is driven by a heavy-hitting combination of Simcoe, Centennial, Columbus, Chinook, and Cascade, delivering layers of tropical mango, sharp citrus, and pungent pine. A sturdy backbone of bready Maris Otter and a touch of caramel from Crystal 60 malt provides the necessary structure to support the intense, resinous hop saturation. The experience culminates in an aggressive, lingering bitterness that defines its namesake, balanced by a clean fermentation and a smooth, warming finish.

Appearance. Deep gold to light copper (8–12 SRM). Generally clear, though a slight haze is acceptable given the high hopping rate. Features a moderate-sized, persistent, off-white head with excellent lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop-forward aroma dominated by tropical mango and bright citrus zest. Pungent notes of resinous pine and subtle spice emerge from the Simcoe and Chinook. The Maris Otter provides a low, supportive bready maltiness in the background with a faint hint of toasted caramel. Clean fermentation; alcohol is noticeable but well-integrated and non-solventy.

Taste. Strong and complex hop flavors featuring grapefruit peel, resinous pine, and lush mango. The bitterness is very high and assertive, lingering long into the finish. Low to moderate caramel and toasted bread flavors from the Crystal 60 malt provide a necessary but unobtrusive balance. The finish is dry to medium-dry, characterized by a persistent hoppy, resinous aftertaste and a clean alcohol presence.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a smooth, velvety texture. Carbonation is moderate. A significant, smooth alcohol warmth is present throughout, reflecting the high ABV without any harsh hop-derived astringency.
