Naparbier Deathwish bridges the gap between classic intensity and modern textures as a West Coast Haze Double IPA. The aroma is an explosive collision of Citra-led tropical citrus and the resinous, dank pine signatures of Simcoe and Chinook. At 9.1% ABV, it presents a substantial presence, yet remains remarkably drinkable. The palate balances aggressive, clean bitterness with a soft, hazy mouthfeel, delivering layers of grapefruit, passion fruit, and forest floor. It finishes exceptionally dry and crisp, leaving a lingering hop trail that invites another sip, embodying the bold spirit of a contemporary Double IPA.

Appearance. Pours a deep gold to light orange with a distinct, uniform haze. Topped by a dense, persistent off-white head that leaves thick lacing on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity hop profile dominated by grapefruit and lemon zest from Citra, alongside the pungent, resinous pine and damp earth of Simcoe and Chinook. Background notes of mango and pineapple are supported by a clean, neutral grain malt character and a hint of smooth alcohol.

Taste. Initial punch of citrus peel and resinous hop oils. The bitterness is high and firm but lacks harshness. Citra provides bright tropical fruit flavors while Chinook and Simcoe contribute a classic spicy, evergreen depth. The malt is lean and unobtrusive, leading to a very dry, clean finish with a long-lasting hoppy aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, creamy texture. Carbonation is moderate-high. A notable but well-integrated alcohol warmth glows in the chest without being solventy.
