Nano Cinco Wald is a vibrant hybrid that bridges the gap between a crisp German ale and a modern hop-forward pale ale. Fermented with traditional Kölsch yeast, it offers a clean, delicately fruity foundation that allows new-generation German hops to shine. The specific use of Solero and Callista cultivars drives an aromatic profile rich in fresh raspberries, wild berries, and soft stone fruits. Though light-bodied and highly drinkable at 4.8% ABV, it maintains the firm bitterness of an American Pale Ale, finishing bone-dry and remarkably refreshing with a lingering touch of floral and berry-like hop oils.
Appearance. Pale golden (approx. 5 SRM) with brilliant clarity. Pours with a moderately large, bright white head that shows good retention and leaves delicate lacing.
Aroma. Moderately high hop intensity featuring distinctive notes of raspberry and mixed berries from Callista hops, complemented by peach and tropical stone fruit from Solero. The malt profile is low and clean, offering a grainy, cracker-like sweetness. Very low fruity esters from the yeast provide a subtle apple or pear undertone.
Taste. Initial impression is bright and hop-centric, bursting with red berry and stone fruit flavors. A moderate hop bitterness provides structure without harshness. The malt is supportive and neutral, reminiscent of fresh white bread. Fermentation is very clean, leading into a crisp, dry finish where the berry-like hop character and a light floral spice linger briefly.
