This vibrant Hazy IPA delivers an explosive sensory experience driven by a unique blend of New Zealand and American hops. The aromatic profile is dominated by the Southern Hemisphere influence of Superdelic and Wakatu, offering intense layers of fresh grapefruit and bright lemon zest. These are beautifully complemented by the classic citrus depth of Citra from the Yakima Valley. Beneath the hop intensity lies a soft, bready malt backbone that supports a lush, juicy palate. With its signature opacity and smooth, pillowy mouthfeel, this beer balances a restrained bitterness with a profound fruit-forward character that lingers cleanly on the finish.
Appearance. Straw to light gold with a deep, opaque haze that creates a characteristic shine. Topped with a dense, rocky, meringue-like white head that displays excellent retention and lacing.
Aroma. High intensity of fresh citrus and tropical fruit. Strong notes of grapefruit pulp and lemon zest mingle with hints of red berry and candy-like sweetness. The malt is subtle but present as a light, grainy, bready foundation. Fermentation is clean with supportive fruity esters that enhance the tropical hop profile.
Taste. Initial impression is a burst of juicy citrus, mirroring the aroma with vivid grapefruit and lemon oil flavors. The hops provide a solid citrus backbone with a floral lime touch. Malt flavor is low, providing a simple bready sweetness. Bitterness is moderate but perceived as low due to the soft body. The finish is off-dry and smooth, lacking any hop harshness.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a characteristically soft and pillowy texture. Carbonation is moderate, contributing to a smooth, non-aggressive mouthfeel. A light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present, without any raw starchiness or astringency.
