Poisson Des Sables is a modern West Coast Pils that bridges traditional European lager crispness with vibrant New World hop expression. A collaboration between Nano Cinco and Kahnawake Brewing, this German Pils features a classic base elevated by NZ Cascade, Rakau, and Maui Nelson hops. The sensory experience is defined by an inviting nose of white grape, passion fruit, and bright lime zest. On the palate, a lean, grainy-sweet malt backbone provides a clean canvas for a firm, frank bitterness and layered tropical fruit notes. It finishes exceptionally dry and refreshing, showcasing the concentrated potency of SubZero Hop Kief while maintaining elite drinkability.
Appearance. Straw to deep yellow (3-4 SRM). Brilliant clarity with a creamy, long-lasting white head that leaves delicate lacing.
Aroma. Moderate-high hop intensity featuring distinct lime, gooseberry, and white grape notes. Secondary layers of tropical melon and stone fruit. Low grainy-sweet, cracker-like malt character. Clean fermentation profile with no esters.
Taste. Initial light bready malt flavor is quickly overcome by assertive hop bitterness. Flavors of citrus peel, passion fruit, and resinous hops dominate the mid-palate. Highly attenuated with a crisp, dry finish. Bitterness is firm and lingering but remains clean rather than harsh.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with moderate-high carbonation that provides a crisp, scrubbing effect on the tongue. Very low alcohol warmth and no astringency.
