This Italian-inspired German Pils presents a modern take on the classic style, utilizing a foundation of oats to create a soft, grainy texture. The sensory profile is defined by a dual-hop approach: traditional Hersbrucker provides a sophisticated herbal and spicy backbone, while a cold-side addition of NZ Cascade Hop Kief introduces vibrant layers of fresh grapefruit and soft citrus. The result is a brilliantly crisp and thirst-quenching lager where doughy, cereal-forward maltiness meets a firm, clean bitterness. It finishes bone-dry with a lingering citrus zest, balancing European tradition with New Zealand’s expressive hop character.

Appearance. Straw to pale gold (2–4 SRM). Brilliant clarity with a dense, long-lasting, creamy white head that leaves delicate lacing.

Aroma. Moderate-high intensity. Forward notes of lemon zest and grapefruit from the NZ Cascade, supported by the floral and spicy perfume of Hersbrucker. A clean, doughy malt base with a subtle raw grain and cereal character from the oats.

Taste. Initial crisp, grainy malt sweetness is quickly overtaken by a firm hop bitterness. Flavors of dried herbs and peppery spice meld with bright citrus and grapefruit. The oats provide a distinct cereal quality without adding weight. Finishes very dry and clean with a lingering hoppy snap and mineral edge.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a slightly smooth, silken texture from the oats. High carbonation provides a prickly, refreshing effervescence. No alcohol warmth.
