This American Pale Ale presents a vibrant New Zealand-influenced hop profile, showcasing the expressive interplay of Southern Cross, Motueka, and Nelson Sauvin. The nose opens with an intense bouquet of crushed lime zest and gooseberry, layered over subtle notes of lemon oil and cracked black pepper. On the palate, the bright character of Nelson Sauvin provides a white wine-like elegance, balanced by a lean, bready malt backbone. A firm bitterness persists into a dry, clean finish, while the citrus-forward Motueka provides a refreshing snap. This is a bright, hop-focused interpretation with a crisp character and exceptionally high drinkability.

Appearance. Deep gold to pale amber (SRM 6-8). Topped by a moderately large, white, creamy head with excellent retention and delicate lacing. Clarity is generally clear with a brilliant luster.

Aroma. Moderately high hop aroma featuring distinct notes of gooseberry, passion fruit, and lime zest. A faint herbal spice and lemon-pine undertone is evident. The malt is low and neutral, presenting as fresh bread or lightly toasted grain. Clean fermentation profile with very low esters.

Taste. Initial hop-forward flavors of tropical fruit and citrus dominate, with a sophisticated dry white wine character. Moderate bitterness provides a firm structure without becoming harsh. The malt flavor is supportive and grainy, lacking heavy caramel or sweetness. Finishes medium-dry with a lingering citrus and spicy hop aftertaste.
