This Double New England IPA presents a sophisticated thiol-forward profile, leveraging a potent blend of Motueka, Waimea, and Rakau hops alongside Phantasm-infused Mega Motueka. The result is a vibrant sensory experience defined by intense notes of zesty lime, lush apricot, and the elegant, vinous character of Sauvignon Blanc. Its presence is marked by a notably rich, velvety body that supports the high hop saturation without becoming heavy. Aromatically explosive yet balanced, the beer showcases the specialized tropical complexity of New Zealand varieties, finishing with a smooth integration of its 8% strength and a clean, fruit-driven persistence.

Appearance. Presents a deep gold to light orange color (SRM 6-9). Features a significant, creamy, off-white head with excellent persistence and thick lacing. Clarity is characterized by a dense, uniform haze consistent with the New England variant of the style.

Aroma. Intensity is high, dominated by a complex bouquet of tropical and citrus fruits. Distinctive notes of crushed lime, passionfruit, and white grape (Sauvignon Blanc) are prominent, supported by stone fruit esters of apricot. A low, neutral, grainy malt presence sits in the background, with a clean fermentation profile and a subtle, well-integrated alcohol warmth.

Taste. The initial impression is an explosion of tropical hop flavor, featuring bright lime zest, ripe apricot, and gooseberry. The malt flavor is low and soft, providing a supportive but unobtrusive base. Bitterness is moderate and smooth, lacking any harshness. The finish is medium-dry with a lingering, juice-like hop aftertaste and a clean, fruity complexity that persists on the palate.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a notably rich, creamy, and soft texture. Carbonation is moderate, contributing to a smooth mouthfeel. A restrained, gentle alcohol warmth is present, and there is no perceived hop-derived astringency.
