This Triple New England Wheat IPA delivers an intense sensory profile shaped by a massive 40% wheat grist and the inclusion of fragrant clover honey. The aromatic profile is dominated by high-intensity notes of ripe tropical fruit and honey candy, driven by a powerful hop trio of Riwaka, Nelson Sauvin, and Citra. Riwaka contributes punchy passionfruit, while Nelson Sauvin adds a distinctive white wine and gooseberry character, and Citra provides bright grapefruit. Despite its 10% ABV, the clover honey ensures a finish that remains drinkable, balancing the pillowy texture of the wheat against the firm bitterness of a Double IPA.
Appearance. Pale gold to light orange (7-9 SRM). Opaque with a significant haze from the high wheat content. Features a large, persistent, creamy white head with dense lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent passionfruit, crushed gooseberry, and grapefruit. Underlying notes of floral clover honey and soft, bready wheat malt. Fermentation is clean with only a subtle hint of smooth alcohol.
Taste. Strong, complex hop flavors of mango, citrus, and white wine grape. Moderately high bitterness that provides a firm structure without harshness. Low bready malt flavor is present, supported by a honey candy sweetness that fades into a medium-dry, clean finish. Lingering hoppy aftertaste of tropical resin.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a creamy, soft mouthfeel attributed to the high wheat percentage. Moderate carbonation. Noticeable and smooth alcohol warmth that reflects its 10% strength without being solventy.
