This Double IPA is a collaborative powerhouse between Nano Cinco and Third Moon, showcasing an aromatic explosion driven by 100% Freestyle Hops. The profile is defined by vibrant waves of ripe peach and citrus zest, thanks to the heavy use of Peacharine and Motueka SubZero Hop Kief. Layers of tropical fruit and stone fruit emerge from the NZ Cascade and Rakau additions, creating a complex, punchy bouquet. Despite the 8% ABV, the beer maintains a velvety, onctueuse texture that masks its strength. A soft bitterness balances the juice-forward character, leading to a lingering, fruit-saturated finish that remains clean and remarkably smooth.
Appearance. SRM 6-8. Pale gold to light orange with a heavy, opaque haze. Features a thick, persistent white head that leaves dense, soapy lacing on the glass.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring ripe peach, passion fruit, mango, and bright lime zest. Supporting notes of crushed pineapple and subtle pine resin. Malt is low and neutral, providing a soft, doughy backdrop. No solventy alcohol; clean fermentation profile.
Taste. Initial impression is a saturated tropical fruit punch with dominant ripe peach and tangerine flavors. Malt provides a soft, bready support without any caramel sweetness. Bitterness is moderate and smooth, lacking any harshness or vegetal bite. The finish is medium-dry with a long, fruity aftertaste and a touch of hop resin.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a creamy, velvety, and plush texture. Carbonation is moderate. Displays a gentle, well-integrated alcohol warmth that enhances the mouthfeel without being hot. Smooth and free of astringency.
