Nano Cinco Bordelos 23 is a bold Double IPA that showcases an intense aromatic profile driven by Citra, Citra Lupomax, and NZH-214 hops. The sensory experience begins with a high-intensity bouquet of tropical passion fruit, bright lime, and stone fruit, supported by a clean, neutral malt base. On the palate, the concentrated hop oils from the Citra Lupomax deliver vibrant layers of grapefruit and mango, balanced by a firm yet smooth bitterness. At 8.2% ABV, a refined alcohol warmth integrates seamlessly with a medium-bodied texture and a dry, lingering finish. This beer exemplifies the modern approach to the style, focusing on hop saturation without heavy malt interference.

Appearance. Deep gold to pale orange (7-9 SRM). Large, creamy white head with excellent retention and lacing. Slight haze is present, following modern style expectations, though the body remains translucent.

Aroma. Intense hop-forward bouquet featuring dominant notes of tropical mango and passion fruit from the NZH-214, paired with the signature grapefruit and lime zest of Citra. Background malt is neutral and grainy. Low fruity esters and a clean fermentation profile with a hint of smooth alcohol.

Taste. Initial punch of citrus and stone fruit flavors. High bitterness that remains clean and lacks harshness. Minimal malt presence, focusing on pale grain and crackery notes. Finishes very dry with a long, resinous, and fruity aftertaste that highlights the complex hop blend.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, slightly oily texture from hop resins. Carbonation is moderate-high, providing a crispness that aids drinkability. Noticeable but well-integrated alcohol warmth provides a satisfying glow without being solventy.
