Nano Cinco Ball On is an expressive Double IPA that masterfully showcases a sophisticated blend of Southern Hemisphere hops. The sensory profile is dominated by the elegant white wine and crushed grape notes of Nelson Sauvin, further brightened by the zesty lemon character of Wakatu and Southern Cross. Galaxy hops round out the experience with a lush, stone fruit depth reminiscent of ripe peach. Despite its 8% ABV, the beer focuses on a hop-forward aromatic intensity over heavy malt presence. It delivers a clean, modern profile where the intricate tropical and vinous cues are supported by a neutral grain backbone and a firm, well-integrated bitterness.

Appearance. Pours a deep gold to light orange (7-9 SRM) with a moderate, persistent white head that leaves significant lacing. While the style allows for clarity, this modern iteration presents a uniform, attractive haze.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of Sauvignon Blanc grapes, gooseberry, and passionfruit from the Nelson Sauvin and Galaxy. Secondary notes of fresh lemon zest and a light resinous spice from Southern Cross are present. Malt is neutral and crackery in the background, with a clean fermentation profile showing very light stone fruit esters.

Taste. The palate follows the aroma with an immediate burst of tropical fruit, citrus, and vinous hop flavors. Moderately high to high bitterness provides a firm structure but remains smooth and free of harshness. The malt character is low and unobtrusive, providing a soft, bready support. It finishes dry to medium-dry with a lingering, complex aftertaste of peach and citrus peel.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, soft texture. Carbonation is moderate-high, enhancing the hop aromatics. A well-restrained, smooth alcohol warmth is noticeable but lacks any solventy or hot character. No significant hop-derived astringency.
