This sophisticated Czech Dark Lager, a collaboration between Nano Cinco and Mellön, evolves through 130 weeks of patient refinement, including six months in Laird's apple brandy barrels previously seasoned with Barley Wine. The sensory profile is a deep tapestry of rich caramel, toasted bread crust, and subtle nuts, punctuated by gentle roasted notes of chocolate and sweetened coffee. The barrel influence introduces elegant woody tannins and a delicate distilled apple character that complements the plum-like esters. It remains remarkably drinkable at its sessionable strength, offering a complex yet clean lager finish with lingering hints of oak and dark fruit.

Appearance. Dark copper to near-black with distinct garnet highlights; excellent clarity. Crowned by a large, persistent, tan-colored head with dense lacing.

Aroma. High intensity of rich, deep maltiness featuring bread crust, toast, and dark caramel. Notable notes of apple brandy, vanilla-tinged wood, and a faint vinous character from the previous barrel contents. Low spicy hop aroma and moderate plum esters are present.

Taste. Initial impression is a complex, deep maltiness dominated by caramel, toasted nuts, and light licorice. Roasted malt flavors of chocolate and coffee are moderate and well-integrated. The mid-palate reveals apple-derived esters and woody tannins from the brandy cask. Bitterness is low-moderate, providing a balanced finish that is clean and slightly sweet with a lingering toasted aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, moderately creamy texture. Carbonation is moderate. Features a light, well-integrated spirit warmth that adds depth without being harsh or fusel.
