This Hazy IPA presents an evocative, juice-like profile defined by its lush, hop-saturated character. The addition of oat and wheat flakes creates a soft, pillowy foundation for an explosive aromatic display. Mosaic hops lead the sensory charge with intense notes of blueberry and tropical stone fruit, while the Sabro variety introduces a distinctive, creamy coconut and tangerine complexity. The palate is exceptionally smooth, offering a succulent fruit-forward experience with a restrained, non-lingering bitterness. It finishes clean and off-dry, emphasizing a refreshing, tropical depth that remains highly drinkable despite its substantial, opaque body.
Appearance. Straw to light amber (4-6 SRM) with a dense, opaque haze and a vibrant, juice-like glow. Topped by a thick, meringue-like white head with high retention and significant lacing.
Aroma. High intensity of tropical fruit, mango, and papaya. Mosaic provides a deep blueberry and citrus backbone, while Sabro adds unique notes of coconut, cream, and cedar. Very low, clean, bready malt in the background; fermentation is neutral with supportive fruity esters.
Taste. High hop flavor of tropical fruit and citrus. Initial impression of fruit juice is followed by low, bready malt sweetness. Hop bitterness is low to medium-low, serving only to balance the soft finish without being sharp. The finish is off-dry and fruit-focused, featuring lingering notes of tangerine and stone fruit.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a smooth, pillowy texture and no astringency. Carbonation is moderate. Alcohol presence provides a light, well-integrated warmth at 6% ABV.
