Thoth NZ IPA presents a vibrant sensory journey defined by its lean, crackery Pilsner malt base, meticulously designed to elevate a duo of iconic New Zealand hops. The Riwaka hops dominate the initial impression with high-intensity aromas of tropical passionfruit, zesty grapefruit, and bright citrus. This transitions seamlessly into the distinctive Nelson Sauvin profile, contributing elegant notes of crushed gooseberry and white wine grapes. The palate is decidedly hop-forward, delivering a firm bitterness and a crisp, dry finish that emphasizes the fruit-forward character. This American IPA is a masterclass in balance, offering a modern, aromatic experience that feels both ethereal and grounded.

Appearance. Color: Medium gold (6 SRM). Foam: White, medium-sized head with excellent persistence and light lacing. Clarity: Clear with a brilliant sheen.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of passionfruit, ruby grapefruit, and lime. This is layered with characteristic scents of white grape, gooseberry, and a hint of crushed herbs. Malt is low, presenting as clean, grainy-sweet. Fermentation is clean with negligible esters.

Taste. Initial impression is an explosion of tropical and vinous hop flavors including citrus, passionfruit, and white wine grapes. Low, grainy malt supports without adding sweetness. Bitterness is firm and clean. The finish is very dry and crisp with a lingering hoppy aftertaste of gooseberry and grapefruit zest.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, crisp texture. Carbonation is medium-high, providing a refreshing bite. Alcohol warmth is very light and well-integrated. No astringency or harshness.
