Aroma. Moderate to high intensity. Prominent bready and toasty malt notes from the Munich and Abbey malts, accompanied by subtle honeyed sweetness. Moderate fruity esters suggest orange and pear. Low spicy or herbal hop character from the Magnum hops is present but secondary to the malt and esters.
Taste. Initial impression is of smooth, toasted bread and biscuit-like malt sweetness. The mid-palate introduces moderate pear and red apple fruitiness. Bitterness is firm and assertive for the style, driven by the Magnum hops, which provides a clean and energetic balance to the Munich and Abbey malt profile. Finishes balanced to dry with a lingering toasty grain character and a crisp hop bite.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, well-rounded palate. Carbonation is moderate to high and quite lively due to bottle fermentation. Alcohol warmth is low and well-integrated, providing a gentle throat sensation without being hot.
