Space Pigs is a bold Double IPA that balances high-intensity hopping with a modern, approachable structure. It pours with a noticeable haze, indicative of its aggressive dry-hopping. The sensory profile is dominated by a saturated hop presence—driven by American and New World varieties—delivering notes of resinous pine, tropical fruit, and citrus. While the 8% ABV provides a significant punch, the malt base remains clean and supportive, ensuring the lupulin takes center stage. This beer is characterized by its remarkable balance; despite the hop intensity, the bitterness is described as gentle and integrated, resulting in a smooth, full-bodied experience with a lingering, aromatic finish.

Appearance. Deep gold to light orange (8-11 SRM). The beer displays a distinct haze with a moderate-sized, persistent, off-white head that leaves consistent lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of mango, crushed pineapple, and citrus zest. A supportive, neutral grainy maltiness sits in the background. The fermentation profile is clean, though a very restrained, smooth alcohol warmth is detectable.

Taste. Strong and complex hop flavors of grapefruit, stone fruit, and resinous pine dominate. The bitterness is moderately high but notably smooth and lacking harshness. A low, clean malt character provides a soft, bready foundation. The finish is medium-dry with a long, fruity, and slightly resinous aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a smooth, almost creamy texture. Carbonation is moderate. There is a noticeable but well-integrated alcohol warmth that enhances the mouthfeel without being solventy or hot.
