This West Coast American IPA presents a vibrant sensory profile defined by the punchy hop duo of Citra and Mosaic. Bright aromas of grapefruit zest and mango from the Citra meet the subtle blueberry and pine notes of Mosaic, creating a layered tropical bouquet. A clean, lean malt backbone allows the resinous citrus oils to take center stage without interference. The mouthfeel is remarkably crisp and refreshing, driven by a sharp, cleansing bitterness that lingers into a bone-dry finish. It is a focused, aromatic expression of modern hopping techniques, emphasizing clarity and high drinkability.
Appearance. Color is medium gold (7 SRM). Topped with a medium-sized white head that shows good persistence and light lacing. Clarity is brilliant, typical of the West Coast style.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent citrus, tropical mango, and light berry notes. A subtle resinous pine character is present. Malt is low and clean, providing a neutral grainy background with no significant fermentation esters.
Taste. Leading with high hop flavors of grapefruit, tropical fruit, and resin. The bitterness is firm and clean, supported by a low, grainy-sweet malt presence. The balance is decidedly hop-forward, finishing very dry with a lingering, crisp hop aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, non-astringent texture. Carbonation is medium-high, enhancing the crisp finish. Alcohol warmth is very low and well-integrated.
