Morningcider Hazy Apple IPA Cider is a boundary-pushing hybrid that masterfully bridges the gap between a crisp, dry cider and a tropical New Zealand IPA. This hazy, pale-gold pour delivers an intense aromatic bouquet of crushed gooseberry, passionfruit, and lime zest, courtesy of bold NZ hop varieties. These bright, resinous notes weave through a base of tart, freshly pressed green apples. On the palate, the sharp, vinous acidity of the cider is balanced by a firm hop bitterness and a remarkably dry finish. It offers a complex sensory experience, combining the aromatic depth of a Hazy IPA with the lean, effervescent structure of a traditional dry cider.

Appearance. SRM 3-5; pale gold with a persistent hazy cloudiness. Very light, white surface foam that dissipates quickly, typical of cider, leaving minimal lacing. Effervescent with fine bubbles.

Aroma. High intensity aromatics of tropical fruit and citrus from New Zealand hops, specifically passionfruit, lime, and white grape. These are layered over a clean, tart culinary apple base with hints of skin-like tannins and low floral esters. No malt or sulfur notes.

Taste. Initial impression is sharply tart and fruity. Crisp apple acidity dominates the mid-palate, complemented by flavors of grapefruit and tropical fruit from the heavy dry hopping. Bitterness is moderate to firm, exceeding typical cider levels to mimic an IPA profile. The finish is very dry, clean, and refreshing with a lingering citrus-peel aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a crisp, spritzy mouthfeel due to high carbonation. Very low astringency. Smooth despite the hop load, with a subtle alcohol warmth that is well-integrated.
