This American IPA presents a vibrant sensory journey into a tropical paradise, characterized by an explosion of stone fruit and exotic notes. The profile is dominated by high-intensity hop aromas of ripe mango, peach, apricot, and zesty grapefruit. On the palate, a bold bitterness takes center stage, complemented by flavors of sweet pineapple and deep-seated accents of resinous pine. Appearance. Clean, nearly transparent orange-copper color (approx. 10-12 SRM). Topped with a compact, persistent white head that leaves consistent lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop-forward bouquet featuring distinct notes of fleshy peach, apricot, and grapefruit. Subtle tropical undertones of mango are supported by a low, clean, grainy malt presence. Fermentation is clean with no significant esters.
Taste. Initial impression is bright and citric, transitioning quickly into a firm, persistent bitterness. Flavors of pineapple and tropical fruit are balanced by classic resin and pine notes. The finish is dry and decidedly bitter, with a lingering hoppy retrogusto and a faint hint of malt sweetness for balance.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, round texture. Moderate to high carbonation provides a crisp bite. A light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present, commensurate with the 7.5% strength. No astringency.
