Space Nelson is a vibrant American IPA that showcases a sophisticated hop profile. The aromatic experience is led by Nelson Sauvin, offering its hallmark crushed white grape and gooseberry notes, complemented by the bright citrus of Citra. UK Olicana provides a unique layer of complexity with stone fruit notes, while Mosaic adds depth with tropical berry hints. On the palate, expect a rush of apricot and peach character underpinned by a clean, grainy malt base. Despite the intense double dry-hopping, the finish remains crisp and purposefully bitter, staying true to its roots while celebrating modern, fruit-forward hop expressions.
Appearance. Medium gold (6-8 SRM) with a slight haze consistent with heavy dry-hopping. Features a medium-sized, persistent white head with excellent lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent white grape, gooseberry, and citrus zest. Secondary notes of tropical fruit and subtle pine. Low, clean, bready malt support with a neutral fermentation profile.
Taste. Immediate hop-forward impact of stone fruit, peach, and citrus. Medium-high bitterness is clean and sharp, balancing a low toasted malt sweetness. The finish is dry to medium-dry with a lingering fruity and resinous aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, soft texture. Moderate to medium-high carbonation provides a crisp bite. Very light, integrated alcohol warmth and no hop astringency.
