NEIPA - New England IPA 5.7 º
El Toro presents as a distinctive Hazy IPA, skillfully blending rustic English hop character with modern tropical intensity. Fermented with Voss Kveik yeast, the beer offers a complex sensory profile of orange and subtle dark fruit derived from Kentish Challenger and Bullion. These deeper notes are lifted by vibrant, juicy layers of mango and pineapple from a dry hop of El Dorado and Azacca. The incorporation of malted oats and wheat produces a soft, medium-full body and a silky texture that carries the hops. It concludes with a gentle spice and a smooth, fruit-forward finish.
Appearance. Straw to light amber (4-6 SRM). Opaque with a characteristic hazy shine; no large particulates. Large, meringue-like white head with high retention and thick lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring pineapple, mango, and orange. Secondary notes of plum and a touch of peppery spice. Clean, bready malt background from the wheat and oats; fermentation esters are present and supportive of the tropical fruit.
Taste. Massive fruity hop flavor including melon, citrus, and stone fruit. Low to medium-low bitterness that is well-masked by the malt profile. Bready, grainy malt flavors provide a soft foundation. Finish is off-dry and smooth with a lingering citrus ester and a light spicy character from the Kentish hops.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, pillowy texture. Moderate carbonation. Very smooth with no hop harshness or astringency; light, well-integrated alcohol warmth.
