Tune Up is a refreshing Munich Helles that highlights the rustic charm of an unfiltered lager. Brewed with Continental Pilsner malt, it offers a prominent bready and grainy-sweet core that provides a soft, rounded foundation. Noble German hops contribute a delicate herbal and slightly spicy character, balancing the malt without overwhelming it. The naturally hazy appearance from being unfiltered adds a textured visual depth to the pour. This collaboration captures a clean fermentation profile, finishing dry and crisp with a lingering suggestion of cereal sweetness. It is a harmonious, sessionable lager where the bready maltiness remains the star from the first sip to the clean aftertaste.
Appearance. Pale yellow to pale gold (3-5 SRM). Naturally hazy and unfiltered appearance, differing from the style's typical brilliance. Topped by a persistent, creamy white head with good lacing.
Aroma. Moderate intensity featuring a clear grainy-sweet and bready malt character. Low herbal hop aroma from German hop varieties. Clean fermentation profile with no esters or phenols; the malt character dominates the olfactory balance.
Taste. Initial impression is moderately malty with a soft, bready flavor and the suggestion of sweetness. Low to medium-low bitterness provides enough structure to prevent the finish from being cloying. Herbal hop flavors are present but restrained. The palate is rounded, finishing soft and dry with a lingering grainy-sweet malt aftertaste and a clean exit.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, well-lagered texture. Moderate carbonation provides a refreshing, crisp lift. Subtle, light alcohol warmth is well-integrated. No astringency.
