This barrel-aged Brett Beer showcases the Hungarian Terroir through an intensive two-year maturation in wine barrels. The spontaneous fermentation and heavy addition of hand-pressed Martonvásár peaches from Pillár Biobirtok create a sensory profile defined by deep complexity. Aromas of ripe stone fruit and rustic barnyard funk lead into a palate of sharp acidity and vibrant, juicy peach flavors. The influence of the wine casks introduces natural wine characteristics and subtle oak tannins, while the Brettanomyces ensures a bone-dry finish. Effervescent and bold, it balances rustic earthiness with the bright, concentrated essence of late-summer fruit.
Appearance. Deep gold to soft amber with a hazy, peach-tinted glow (SRM 8-12). Pours with a moderate white head that recedes to a fine ring, leaving light lacing.
Aroma. High intensity, dominated by concentrated peach nectar and sun-ripened stone fruit. Complexity is enhanced by funky Brettanomyces notes of wet hay, earthy cellar, and old leather, alongside a distinct vinous character from the wine barrels.
Taste. Immediate, sharp acidity that is intensely refreshing. Rich flavors of fresh Martonvásár peaches meld with oak-derived tannins and a natural wine tartness. Minimal hop bitterness allows the Brett funk and fruit to shine through a bone-dry, crisp finish with lingering fruit skin notes.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a prickly, high carbonation that cleanses the palate. Notable alcohol warmth from the 7.2% ABV is well-integrated, accompanied by a light tannic astringency from the wine barrel and peach skins.
