This Imperial Stout presents a formidable sensory profile, merging the deep, roasted intensity of black malts with the vibrant heat of two American chili varieties. The experience begins with a decadent display of bittersweet chocolate and espresso, quickly layered with the earthy, slightly vegetal spice of the peppers. At 11% ABV, the beer offers a luxurious, viscous texture that carries notes of dried plums and black currants. The finish is defined by a building, harmonious warmth where alcohol and capsicum heat intertwine, leaving a lingering, complex impression of dark grain and spicy pepper oils.

Appearance. Opaque jet black color (40 SRM) with a thick, persistent deep tan head and visible legs on the glass indicating high viscosity.

Aroma. Intense bouquet of dark chocolate, roasted coffee, and black licorice, complemented by moderate dark fruit esters like raisins and a distinct, spicy capsicum note from the American chiles.

Taste. Rich initial impression of bittersweet cocoa and burnt grain, followed by a mid-palate of dried figs and plums. Firm bitterness balances the malt sweetness, while a clean, spicy chili heat emerges toward the back of the palate, leading to a warming, lingering finish of roast and spice.
