This Double Dry Hopped Hazy IPA showcases the signature hop saturation expected of Monkish, presenting an intense aromatic profile led by Citra and Nectaron. Expect a vibrant explosion of ripe peach, nectarine, and tropical passionfruit, beautifully layered with the sophisticated white wine and gooseberry notes characteristic of Nelson Sauvin. The inclusion of Krush and Strata introduces additional depths of guava and subtle dank berry. Poured with a luminous, opaque glow, the beer offers a plush, juice-forward palate where massive hop oils are balanced by a neutral, grainy malt base and a restrained bitterness, ensuring a remarkably soft and drinkable finish.
Appearance. 3-5 SRM. Opaque, straw to light gold with a luminous, hazy shine. Dense, rocky, meringue-like white head with high retention and heavy lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring tropical passionfruit, mango, and intense stone fruit like peach and apricot. Distinctive white grape and gooseberry notes are present. Background malt is clean, neutral, and lightly bready. No caramel or toast.
Taste. High to very high fruity hop flavor dominated by nectarine, guava, and citrus zest. Low to medium-high perceived bitterness that is smooth and never harsh. The malt is supportive and lightly grainy. Finishes off-dry to medium with a lingering, soft tropical fruit aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, silky, and pillowy texture. Moderate carbonation. Very smooth with no astringency or harsh hop burn; light, well-integrated alcohol warmth.
