This massive Double IPA from Monkish exhibits an intense aromatic profile driven by heavy dry-hop additions of Strata and Galaxy. The sensory experience is dominated by saturated notes of passion fruit, ripe peach, and a distinct strawberry-cannabis dankness typical of the Strata variety. Despite the formidable 10.2% alcohol content, the beer maintains a smooth, creamy delivery with the Galaxy hops providing a bright citrus and tropical lift. The malt presence remains neutral and supportive, allowing the complex hop oils to take center stage. It concludes with a gentle, warming finish and a lingering, resinous fruit character that defines the modern high-gravity hop experience.

Appearance. Deep gold to light orange; opaque with a heavy, persistent haze. Features a dense, creamy, off-white head with excellent lacing.

Aroma. Intense hop aroma of passion fruit, peach, and tropical berries. Distinctive dank, herbal, and strawberry-like notes from Strata. Background malt is neutral and bready with a very light, clean alcohol sweetness and soft pear-like esters.

Taste. Explosive hop flavors of tropical fruit and citrus pulp. Moderate to firm bitterness is well-integrated, never becoming harsh. The malt provides a soft, doughy foundation without caramel sweetness. The finish is medium-dry with a lingering resinous hop character and a smooth alcohol warmth.

Mouthfeel. Full-bodied and viscous with a soft, pillowy texture. Moderate carbonation. Significant but smooth alcohol warmth without being solventy; very low astringency.
