Sedna is a powerful Double IPA that showcases a complex layering of Citra, Citra Cryo, and Nelson Sauvin hops. The aromatic profile is dominated by bright notes of white wine, gooseberry, and tropical citrus, underscored by Ekuanot’s distinctive lime and subtle herbal spice. A foundational grain bill of Golden Promise malt offers a soft, biscuit-like depth, while the inclusion of Flaked Oats and Wheat Malt lends a smooth, substantial mouthfeel that rounds out the high hop bitterness. The result is a bold, high-gravity ale that balances intense resinous flavors with a clean, lingering finish and well-integrated alcohol warmth.

Appearance. Gold to light orange in color (6-9 SRM). Features a moderate-sized, persistent, creamy white head with excellent lacing. Shows a slight haze consistent with the use of wheat and oats.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of passion fruit, grapefruit, and crushed gooseberry. Subtle lime and herbal spice notes are present in the background. Malt is low and neutral with a faint bready sweetness. Clean fermentation profile with a very light, smooth alcohol note.

Taste. Strong, complex hop flavors of tropical fruit, citrus zest, and white grapes. Bitterness is moderately high but remains smooth and lacks harshness. The malt provides a soft, supportive backbone of light grain and bread crust. Finishes medium-dry with a lingering resinous and fruity hop aftertaste. A clean, warming alcohol presence is evident but well-integrated.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a notably smooth, creamy texture from the oat and wheat additions. Carbonation is moderate to medium-high. No hop-derived astringency is present, though a gentle alcohol warmth is felt.
