Mond Trigo
Mond Trigo is a refreshing Witbier that balances traditional Belgian character with the intense aromatic profile of high-temperature fermentation. The beer presents a signature hazy, milky pale straw appearance beneath a dense, creamy white head. On the nose, it offers high aromatic density featuring bready malt and honeyed notes, layered with distinctive banana and clove-like esters. The palate delivers zesty orange and a subtle coriander spice, supported by a smooth, medium-light body and very low bitterness. This effervescent ale finishes crisp and clean, making it an approachable and light choice for pairing with grilled fish or poultry.
Appearance. Very pale straw with a deep yellow core (3 SRM). Distinctively cloudy with a milky, whitish-yellow haze from yeast and starch. Features a dense, white, moussy head with excellent retention and creamy lacing.
Aroma. Moderate to high intensity. Strong bready maltiness with light honey-like sweetness. Pronounced fruity esters of banana and spicy phenols of clove are evident alongside moderate lemony coriander and zesty orange peel notes. No hop aroma.
Taste. Pleasant bready and grainy malt flavor with a touch of vanilla sweetness. Moderate zesty, orange-citrus fruitiness and subtle herbal-spicy flavors of coriander. Hop bitterness is very low, supporting a refreshingly crisp and dry finish without any harsh aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a notable smoothness and light creaminess. High carbonation provides an effervescent, lively character. Very refreshing and easy-drinking with no perceived alcohol warmth or astringency.
