This refreshing Wild Specialty Beer offers a vibrant sensory experience despite its session-strength 1% ABV. Dominated by the essence of ripe strawberries, the profile leans into a crisp lactic tartness that highlights the fruit’s natural brightness. The wild fermentation imparts a subtle, complex edge that balances the berry-forward character without overwhelming the palate. It pours with a charming pink-to-red tint and a light, effervescent head. The finish is remarkably clean and bone-dry, making it an exceptionally crushable choice. Every sip delivers a burst of summer fruit and a zippy acidity that ensures the low-alcohol base feels lively and full-flavored.
Appearance. SRM 3–6 with a distinct pinkish-red hue from strawberries. The head is white with a faint rose tint, featuring small bubbles and fair to poor retention. Clarity is slightly hazy due to the heavy fruit addition.
Aroma. Moderate to high intensity of fresh, jammy strawberries. A clean lactic tartness is prominent, accompanied by very light funky esters typical of a wild fermentation. No significant hop aroma or malt presence is detected.
Taste. Initial impression is a sharp, refreshing tartness followed by succulent strawberry flavors. The fermented fruit provides a dry character rather than sugary sweetness. Mouthfeel. Light body, bordering on thin due to the 1% ABV, but elevated by high carbonation. No alcohol warmth is present. It is crisp and refreshing with a light acidic prickle on the tongue and very low astringency.
