At a robust twelve percent alcohol by volume, the beer exudes an intense aromatic profile of ripe bananas and caramelized sugars, seamlessly integrated into a foundation of deeply roasted malts. The experience is dominated by thick, decadent layers of dark chocolate and espresso, lifted by a persistent fruity sweetness. The interplay between the charred grain character and the lush, dessert-like ingredients creates a harmonious, warming profile that balances intensity with a velvety, lingering finish.
Appearance. SRM 40+. Jet black and opaque. Thick, persistent dark tan head with oily legs clinging to the glass, indicating high viscosity and alcohol content.
Aroma. High intensity. Pronounced ripe banana and rich caramel sweetness meld with roasted malt notes of dark chocolate and espresso. Subtle dark fruit esters and a smooth, vinous alcohol presence are evident.
Taste. Rich and complex. Bold initial sweetness of banana and toffee transitions into bittersweet chocolate and deeply toasted grain. Medium-high bitterness provides necessary balance to the high residual sugar. The finish is long and warming with a lingering cocoa and roasted aftertaste.
