This Alternative Grain Beer is a decadent exploration of caramelization, utilizing a unique 100% crystal malt grist from three distinct maltsters. The result is a lush, mahogany-hued liquid reminiscent of a Barleywine, brimming with deep toffee, burnt sugar, and dried dark fruit. The inclusion of Nelson Sauvin hops provides a vibrant, vinous counterpoint, elevating the natural forest fruit esters of the specialty grains with notes of white grape and crushed gooseberry. Appearance. Deep mahogany to dark copper (SRM 22-30) with brilliant clarity. Pours with a thick, creamy tan head that exhibits moderate retention and leaves fine lacing on the glass.
